Praying for the quiet of Christ.

last Sunday at Journey we looked in Mark 5 and saw Jesus calm a man once driven to the brink by demons. Throughout this week I’ve been praying for the peace of Jesus in our lives. Below are the words and video of a choir singing a beautiful poem.

Many years ago one of my college profs, Dr.Ed introduced me to this. I saw the quiet of Christ in his life and I pray for it in yours and mine this week.

When Rooks Fly Homeward

When rooks fly homeward
And shadows fall,
When roses fold
On the hay-yard wall,
When blind moths flutter
By door and tree,
Then comes the quiet
Of Christ to me.

When stars look out
On the Children’s Path,
And grey mists gather
On earn and rath,
When night is one
With the brooding sea,

Then comes the quiet
Of Christ to me.
